designs are always sophisticated, sometimes urban, and often vintage-esque. Owner and designer Julie Lellis specializes in handmade jewelry using a variety of semi-precious gemstones and quality metals. Her one-of-a-kind and custom pieces often incorporate something old – vintage beads or other “scrap items”  with something new. Julie is expanding to include artwork and repurposed home decor.

She established the studio in 2008 while living in Boston. Originally from South Carolina, Lellis now resides in Durham, N.C.

Fashion and art should be fabulous and affordable.

A note from the designer...

I am inspired by the city. Water. People. Solitude. Gucci. Goodwill. Home.

As a trained visual artist -- yet self-taught jewelry designer -- I am in awe of all my friends who pitched in with money, supplies, special orders, jewelry-making lessons, show preparation, graphic design help...and more. My original business was inspired by Clark, a true partner who shared my interest in matching a thrift-store find perfectly with its unexpected designer companion. I know on most days, we both thought of each other as the designer companion. The concept of "something old" with "something new" is the inspiration for most of my pieces.

In 2012, I toyed with the idea of abbreviating the original brand "clark" to "c.", which eventually led to "ccirca"--a play on words that continues to reflect the brand and its values. My small dream continues to grow because I'm surrounded by an amazing group of people.

With love and gratitude,  Julie
